Questions

Here are some of the most common questions I get asked about working together. If you don’t see your question listed, click here to get in touch.

  • I am located in Seattle, Washington and offer online therapy to clients located anywhere in Washington State, Texas or New York.

  • Online therapy offers increased access and flexibility for clients to schedule sessions from home or work. Clients need to be physically located in one of the states I am licensed in during the session.

I provide clients with a HIPAA compliant telehealth video link for sessions.

  • Currently I am not offering in person sessions.

  • Therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes in length and the fee is $200.

I am currently an out of network provider and I can provide a superbill (detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance provider. Please contact your insurance company to learn about your out of network benefits.

  • I spend time in the first session (and beyond) to build trust between myself and a client and create a safe space. Together we will start to identify goals for therapy and develop a plan for our work together.

  • The length of therapy depends on your presenting concerns and goals. Some clients work with me for several months and others over several years.

It is helpful to schedule weekly sessions at first to build a strong relationship and make progress toward your goals. For some clients I can accommodate a biweekly therapy session schedule and we can discuss this on an individual basis.

I am respectful of clients’ financial situations and will work with you individually to come up with a plan that works for you.

  • Under Federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost. Health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • This GFE will provide information about the expected cost(s) of services at In Between Space Counseling based on the current treatment plan.

    • The GFE will be provided to you within three days of scheduling your initial appointment (provided intake paperwork)

    • You may ask for an updated GFE when scheduling additional services.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the GFE, you can dispute that bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a GFE, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
